Zhakan Studio presents From the Land Where Ships Travel to the Stars — a debut Autumn/Winter 2026 collection rooted in structured womenswear, with an injection of colour and print, and shaped by themes of cultural resilience and continuity. This short fashion film offers a personal reflection on Kazakh cultural heritage and Kazakhstan’s history, including its lesser-known legacy as a key site of Soviet space exploration.

The collection features a considered interplay of materials sourced from family archives, everyday markets in Kazakhstan, and studio work in London — bridging two sensibilities: Kazakhstan’s grounded, resourceful eye and London’s exploratory energy.
