Zhakan Studio is a contemporary fashion brand established by Albina Zhakan, a Kazakhstan-born designer and Central Saint Martins Womenswear graduate (Class of 2024). The practice focuses on meaningful material exploration, refined tailoring and conceptual print work informed by historic influences across arts, architecture and design drawn from Kazakhstan’s cultural and material history, explored through Albina’s lived experience. This research-led approach examines how histories are carried, reinterpreted and transformed through design and form.
