Zhakan Studio

ZHAKAN Studio is the design practice of Albina Zhakan, a Kazakhstan-born designer and Central Saint Martins Womenswear graduate (Class of 2024). Rooted in quiet precision and a narrative use of print and colour, her work draws on Kazakhstan’s cultural and material histories — reimagined through lived experience and shaped by a London-based practice where heritage meets experimentation and form.

Her debut womenswear collection explores story through silhouette, texture, and composition — combining structured cuts with softness, and treating fabric as a vessel for meaning. Zhakan Studio embraces limited resources as a creative force, working with inherited and everyday materials to craft garments that carry presence, depth, and cultural continuity.
