To showcase London’s excellence in fashion, nurture the next generation of creative talent and promote London’s international trading opportunities, the Mayor is proud to support the British Fashion Council and London Fashion Week.
The British Fashion Council receives grant support from the Mayor of London to enable it to strengthen the content and international profile of London Fashion Week and the profile and impact of British designers.
As a result of the GLA’s support for London’s world-class fashion sector and showcasing of diverse and emerging businesses through London Fashion Week and other initiatives, including NEWGEN and the London Fashion Showcasing Fund, London Fashion Week has generated an economic boost of £131m through direct sales to international retailers.
