Simulacra, an Autumn Winter 2021 presentation by GEO is an exploration of the blurring line that straddles reality and imagination. Centered on Jean Baudrillard’s post-modernist theory that reality itself merely imitates a model, which now precedes and determines the real world, the collection gives rise to a loss of distinction between nature and artifice. What presides are hyperrealistic permutations with familiar remnants of reality that create a more satisfying result than reality itself.
