In this narrative film, two ex-lovers go on a journey from anger to forgiveness — a journey laced with heartbreak about their inability to fully connect with each other, despite coming from the same world. The fashion pulls from several of Nicole Zisman’s collections and collages their specific references together. Bride/groom visuality is evoked and subverted within the designer’s signature shattered glass technique, signifying what the couple could have been. Light and colour interactions alongside the garments guide the narration.

Ultimately, the lovers’ decision to forgive each other is not a response to the other person’s actions, but a spiritual decision to be the first to step outside themselves, see the potential within the state of brokenness, and offer healing.
