Yonzu Lee is a Seoul-born designer based between London and Seoul, working at the intersection of structural tailoring and nuanced material experimentation. After completing her MA in Menswear at the Royal College of Art, she launched her independent label YONZU, a practice grounded in dismantling and re-assembling traditional codes of masculinity and femininity through sculptural silhouettes and subtle contrasts.
Her work explores the tension between rigid structure and delicate surface, often merging menswear-rooted construction with refined, unexpected details. Rather than presenting gender as a binary, Yonzu references it indirectly—through proportion, weight, texture, and the interplay of opposing sensibilities. This approach has defined YONZU’s evolving aesthetic, positioning the brand as a visual study of duality and restraint.
In DiscoveryLAB, Lee continues her exploration of sculptural tension and hybridised codes, introducing new pieces that deepen her ongoing research into the subtle boundaries between strength and fragility, structure and fluidity.
