Wenyin Jiang

Wenyin Jiang is a London-based jewellery designer whose contemporary jewellery practice explores the intersection of logic and emotion. She creates jewellery that is never static, conceiving each piece as a sculptural form that comes alive through movement, transformation, and interaction with the wearer. Rather than existing as a fixed object, her work continually reveals new perspectives, inviting an evolving relationship between the jewellery, the body, and the observer.

A graduate of the MA Design Jewellery programme at Central Saint Martins, Wenyin approaches jewellery as both a medium of artistic expression and a form of human experience. Her practice investigates how jewellery can move beyond adornment to become an active presence—responding to the body, shifting with movement, and encouraging curiosity through wear. Balancing conceptual thinking with refined craftsmanship, she creates jewellery that is intellectually engaging and designed to move naturally between everyday life and moments of celebration.

Her debut collection, NIBIRU, translates these ideas into a series of kinetic jewellery pieces inspired by sound art and kinetic art, exploring movement, distance, and connection. Each piece is named after a real star, symbolising an interconnected universe. The wearer is not simply an audience but an essential participant, completing the work through movement and personal interaction.

In 2026, Wenyin was named Emerging Jewellery Designer of the Year at the UK Jewellery Awards. In the same year, she was selected to present her collections at London Fashion Week for the first time and will return to exhibit at Goldsmiths' Fair at Goldsmiths' Hall in London, one of the UK's leading showcases of contemporary jewellery and silversmithing. Her work has been exhibited internationally at leading galleries and design events, including Collect Art Fair (London), Munich Jewellery Week, and CONTEMPORANIA (Barcelona).

Through her evolving practice, Wenyin continues to challenge conventional ideas of jewellery, creating works that invite discovery, embrace transformation, and evolve through wear. For Wenyin, jewellery is not complete when it leaves the workshop, but when it becomes part of someone's life.
