Fashion designer, founder and creative director of his fashion eyewear brand VICTOR WONG
Victor Wong is a Chinese fashion designer. His namesake brand is a regular presence at London Fashion Week. Victor Wong was the first London Fashion Week officially listed label to present an eyewear collection in the form of a runway fashion show.
Born in Hunan China, Victor Wong graduated from the University for the Creative Arts, London in 2014. He then launched his own label in 2015 and has since released seven innovative collections all shown at London Fashion Week. Recent collaborations include an eyewear collection for Bosideng’s AW22 collection shown in Shanghai and Labrum London’s SS22 The Sound of Movement Collection shown at London Fashion Week. Wong was selected by Chinese sportswear brand Li-Ning to collaborate on the newly launched Dream to Fly Collection. Wong was recently awarded the IMPACT AWARD for the second edition prestigious
Yu prize 2022.
The environment Victor grew up in nurtured his interest in traditional culture and craftsmanship. In addition, his academic experience in the UK, where individuality is cherished and creativity is encouraged, shaped his fascination in exploring the relationship between man and materials. His unique vision is derived from the practice of reconstructing cultural symbols.
Bold shapes and the aesthetic of fusing traditional craftsmanship with innovative designs, has earnt Victor Wong global recognition within the fashion industry. Fashion media including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, ELLE, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan and Wonderland have reported on Victor’s eyewear collections, and renowned mainstream press members such as BBC 3 and Sky TV have also highlighted his collections.

Italian ELLE, fashion editor Federica Caiazzo praised his eyewear designs as ‘authentic sculptures to wear.’ She commented ‘There is almost a kind of theatricality in the surprising volumes created by Victor Wong.’
