Designed by Yasuko Furuta. Furuta studied fashion design and patterning at Esmod Japon and Esmod Paris. In 1997 TOGA was established in Tokyo. In 2005 TOGA began presenting its collections in Paris and in 2014 the brand started showing at London Fashion Week.
In 2007 TOGA won the prestigious ANDAM award. In 2017 TOGA held their 20th anniversary show in The National Art Centre, Tokyo.
For the SS22 collection, TOGA includes capsule items with artist Gordon Matta-Clark, presented with a runway film and event during London Fashion Week.
The TOGA ARCHIVES x H&M global collection launched on 2nd September 2021, selling out in the first few hours.
For SS24, TOGA presented with a press preview in Paris. Imagery by Liv Liberg and styling by Agata Belcen. For the AW24 collection, TOGA again held a press preview in Paris. Showing AW24 imagery shot in Japan. And also the latest project with photographer duo Chaumont-Zaerpour, creative direction by Jop van Bennekom and styling by Agata Belcen. Spring Summer 2025, TOGA showed at London Fashion Week. With a runway show at Somerset House, styling by Agata Belcen.
And most recently for Autumn Winter 2025, TOGA showed again during London Fashion Week at the Royal Academy, styling by Andrew Sauceda.
