Sprezzatura

Inspired by flowers, gardens, and crafts, Sprezzatura of Yorkshire was founded and creatively led by Philippine-born designer and shoemaker Neilkriss Tan. The niche brand has been making exquisite shoes since 2018. Neilkriss often turns to the rich cultural heritage of his native country for inspiration. Sprezzatura is known for hand embellishment techniques through embroidery, beading, ceramics and the playful use of bold interior design textiles. The Yorkshire-grown brand is one of the very few companies who still manufacture women's shoes in England, made by passionate craftspeople who share the same advocacy of preserving and promoting “Made In England." In 2022, Sprezzatura opened its first flagship store at Porchester Place, in London’s chic Connaught Village. Neilkriss has apprenticed as a shoemaker with master cordwainer Daniel Nelson of Nelson Footwear - Shoemakers since 1847. The brand’s beautiful designs are all conceived in the charming market town of Settle in the Yorkshire Dales. Sprezzatura is a proud member of The British Fashion Council and The British Footwear Association.
