Raised in North East London, Saul Nash is a designer who established his eponymous brand in 2018. At the core of the brand is Nash’s desire to create technical garments for movement; his body of work oscillates between the world of fashion and dance. His experience as a dancer has been long-standing and instrumental to the label. A Central Saint Martins alumnus, Nash studied Performance Design and practice in 2015 and later received a scholarship to attend the Royal College of Art to study MA Menswear graduating in 2018. His analysis of menswear proved to be the catalyst for Nash starting the brand. The UK-based designer’s dexterity for revitalising luxury garments rich in functionality and flair is exhibited within his practice and the cohesion of Nash’s designs is rooted in his dedication to Movement.

Since the brand's inception, Nash has attracted global interest and amassed attention due to his constant examination of technical menswear outside of societal norms. Essential to the DNA of the label is a persistent study of genderless sportswear and a dedication to redefining traditional athleisure codes. Throughout the evolution of Saul Nash, the brand has connected with wider communities to examine sportswear via a broader lens. As a result, this led to him completing three seasons under Lulu Kennedy’s Fashion East incubator programme, being named as an LVMH semi-finalist, and showing under the BFC NEWGEN initiative. In 2022  the highly revered designer was awarded the prestigious International Woolmark Prize 2022 and the Queen Elizabeth II award for British Design in the same month.

Within the Saul Nash umbrella is a strong ethos of collaboration – Nash regularly works with Emmy-nominated film director FX Goby. Often self or co-choreographed for optimum impact, his runway presentations are experiential, focusing on movement.

Nash’s AW20 ‘Shelter’ saw him send mesmerising ‘kinetically’ cut ready-to-wear garments down the runway, contextualised by a moving film directed by FX Goby about dismantling prejudice and challenging preconceived notions. The idea of self-acceptance and introspection was fundamental to Nash’s AW21 collection and film ‘Twist’, again directed by long-time collaborator FX Goby. Emotive and nuanced, the tug and pull between his main subjects in the film highlighted the stigmas around those who wear sportswear. Nash’s commitment to unpacking deeply personal themes continued with the AW23 collection ‘Siblings’ that delved into the idea of familial and close-knit bonds.

In 2022, Nash teamed up with Mercedes-Benz and SK Gaming to celebrate E-sport's 25th anniversary by designing a limited-edition capsule line. The collection comprised two ready-to-wear garments, with technicality and functionality at the forefront. At the core of the menswear label are inclusivity and expansion. In 2023, Nash partnered with global e-tailer Net-a-Porter to create an exclusive capsule collection that marked his first foray into womenswear. Moving into the world of athleisure, Nash fashioned a line for American luxury fitness company Equinox, in a bid to further examine the world of movement through different lenses and expand the conversation around movement.

Lending his movement skills within and outside the fashion landscape is of the utmost importance for Nash. Within the last few years, his work has broadened beyond the parameters of the brand and has seen him unite with creatives across the world of fashion and music including Gucci X Adidas, Shygirl and Ib Kamara.

Saul Nash ready-to-wear is stocked at retailers including Browns, Farfetch, Selfridges, Flannels, Printemps and more.
