RIXO’s story began in September 2015 in the London living room of best friends Henrietta Rix & Orlagh McCloskey, born from their passion for vintage. The brand’s DNA hinges around the timelessness of their pieces and the cyclicality of them. The founders don’t design with specific trends or seasons in mind and encourage customers to invest in pieces they genuinely love, will re-wear and pass down through generations.  
 
RIXO fills a gap in the contemporary market with limited, unique designs and easy-to-wear and flattering shapes, that fit effortlessly into modern women’s lifestyles. Founders, Henrietta & Orlagh, aim to create a fusion of original hand-painted prints and timeless silhouettes to flatter every woman, irrespective of age, season or size. In addition to ready-to-wear, RIXO now offers shoes, accessories, loungewear, outerwear and bridal with sizes ranging between a UK6-24. 

RIXO recently launched a new strategy for the business as it entered its 8th year, moving away from twice weekly drops to launch less products monthly, encouraging customers to buy less and wear more. The focus is less on new-in and more about special feel-good pieces at great value. Following product category diversification in Covid, RIXO is going back to its roots with an extension of its ‘True Occasion’ range and development of the dress category, with new fits, prints fabrics and embellishments.  

RIXO has three standalone retail stores in London with a 5,000 square feet flagship store opening on the King’s Road in April 2023. Stocked by internationally renowned boutiques, iconic department stores and global online retailers, as well as their own e-commerce site, RIXO continues to gain recognition as a brand-to-watch globally. The brand was awarded the DHL Award for International Growth Potential by DHL and the British Fashion Council in October 2017, Premium Brand of the Year at Drapers Awards in November 2018, Sunday Times Fast Track 2020 ‘Ones to Watch’ in December 2019 and Forbes 30 Under 30 in March 2020.
