Nerida Fraiman’s focus is on innovation, wearability and enduring style. Constructed from the very best quality materials, each hat is exquisitely hand-stitched to exceptional standards under her guidance at her light-filled London atelier. The pieces are designed to be worn and enjoyed, always flattering and never overpowering the wearer. Credited with originating the fascinator trend in 1998, her brand continues to evolve with current cultural fashions, embracing diverse themes such as Royal Ascot and, increasingly, modest fashion. Most recently her ranges have expanded into a growing requirement for beautiful contemporary, lightweight, couture and ready to wear pre-tied turbans and hijabs which are worn by Eastern and Western women alike and dispatched all over the globe.

Following a BSc in Human Sciences at UCL, Nerida honed her craft at Philip Treacy, where she ran his Ready to Wear production, and mastered technique, line and suitability on the model. Finding her passion for millinery, she worked for Marie Mercier and the Opera Bastille in Paris, before returning to London for an MA at the Royal College of Art in Womenswear Accessory Design, and founding her eponymous label. She is an innovator, continually discovering new materials, refining her methods and generating progressive ways to create volume and form – an aesthetic perfectly in tune with her brand’s delicate yet meticulous vision for the contemporary woman.
