MATTEO BIGLIARDI

Matteo Bigliardi is an Italian designer living and working in Brighton. Growing up in a countryside town in the province of Reggio Emilia, Matteo moved to London and graduated from the Central Saint Martins BA Menswear in 2006 and from the MA Fashion course in 2009. Soon after the MA, Matteo launched his first collection with Fashion East MAN. He also has gained experience in the industry working at Gianfranco Ferré in Milan, Pringle of Scotland and Tom Ford in London; consulting for costume designer Arianne Phillips on the film Kingsman: The Secret Service; and most recently collaborating with London based Mercato Metropolitano and Mercato Mayfair designing the company's staff uniforms.

Focusing on exceptional fabrics, impeccable details and precise tailoring, the label mixes tradition with contemporary to deliver outstanding quality made in Italy.

The collections explore the strength of classic pieces updated to add an understated unconventional style. Highly promoting slow fashion, timeless value and quality that can last through time, the label prioritises sustainability and transparency, supporting local manufacturing and using, otherwise disposed of, dead stock fabrics carefully sourced from the best mills. 99% of the materials are from natural and recycled fibres.
