Since its founding in 1989, Lulu Guinness has attracted a devoted following and been worn by some of the world’s most recognisable women – from Queen Camilla and Catherine, Princess of Wales; to Kate Moss, Bella Hadid, Madonna, Emma Watson and Dita Von Teese.

With no formal design training, a young Lulu Guinness relied instead on instinct, imagination and a determination to do things differently. Guided by a distinctive aesthetic – vintage-inspired, feminine and slightly eccentric – she began creating the pieces that would establish her as one of British fashion’s most original voices.

What began with a series of extraordinary ideas soon evolved into an internationally recognised design house. Lulu’s early creations, including the beloved Florist Basket and the now-iconic Lips Clutch, became signatures of the brand and remain among the most celebrated styles in British fashion.

Lulu’s contribution to British fashion and design has earned lasting recognition. Seven of her most renowned creations are held in the permanent collection of the Victoria and Albert Museum, and in 2006 she was awarded an OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire) for services to the fashion industry.
