Kaushik Velendra is a London based menswear designer with an instinctive appreciation for impactful clothing, whose trailblazing collections are reshaping modern menswear. Forging a new paradigm of traditional tailoring combined with innovative construction, Velendra continues to showcase a refreshing and inclusive vision. ‘Power dressing for the people and tailoring for the future’ is how Velendra describes his brand’s DNA.

Velendra showcased his graduate collection during London Fashion Week in February 2019 after graduating from the prestigious MA Fashion Menswear program at Central Saint Martin’s. Followed by which he was shortlisted for the 2020 LVMH Prize.

The AW21 collection presented on schedule during London Fashion Week garnered exceptional industry reviews and worldwide recognition, including notable titles such as The New York Times, British Vogue, Vogue USA, Vogue India, Vogue Italia and WWD. The success continued with Kaushik Velendra’s Spring Summer 2022 Menswear collection showcased at London Fashion Week in September 2021. The collection expanded to include a wider range of ready-to-wear essentials and couture for all walks of life.

Supporting the myriad of positive reviews and press, Velendra has also dressed the likes of supermodel Alton Mason for the Grammy Awards, Bollywood leading-man Ranveer Singh for the Filmfare Awards and promotional shoots for films and BFC Ambassador for Positive Change and Hollywood star, Priyanka Chopra who wore one of his armour inspired designs.

For the 2021 Fashion Awards, Velendra hosted a box with diverse creative talents including Daphne Guinness, Karen Elson, Max Harwood, Daniel Lismore, the first non-binary artist Blu Del Barrio from Star Trek and Jeremie Irvine who donned their Kaushik Velendra custom power looks. Velendra continues to dress strong personalities across the realm of sports and film, which includes Tom Daley, Billy Porter, Kelly Rutherford, Layton William, Omari Douglas and Jack Brett Anderson.

Velendra’s approach remains one that aims to instil a sense of power and confidence, whilst being inclusive to all genders and sizes. In 2021, he set up his atelier in east London, a space once occupied by the late Alexander McQueen, Velendra opened up his studio as a safe working space for Indian students struggling to find a creative space.

Following the continued success of the brand, Kaushik Velendra has now relocated the brands headquarters to Mayfair in January 2022.
