Inspired by her upbringing in rural Iceland, designer Katrin Alda, who studied at London College of Fashion, founded the brand in 2016. 

Katrin seeks to challenge conventional beauty in her designs, offering something bold and away from the ordinary. The KALDA woman has a strong sense of individuality and carefully curates her wardrobe, caring about where purchases have come from. 

KALDA is strongly underpinned by a sustainable and ethical fashion ethos. Every pair of KALDA shoes is produced by hand in a family-run, female-led factory in Portugal.
