Gui Rosa

Gui Rosa is a London based portuguese graduate of Saint Martins utilising the principles of couture and artisanat and pairing them with a heavier brass like edge in order to amalgamate together pieces which simultaneously contain something mundane and, hopefully, something remarkable. 

Take a recognizable item such as a cashmere cardigan and juxtapose and meticulously bind it to a skirt via stitched and eyelet hammered leather. It’s a study of the contrast between the immaculately made but familiar and the explosion of pattern and intarsia happening below the waist- where excitement should take place. 

There’s a hierarchy of pieces, some which are incredibly baroque and some in which the story has been digested and broken up into palatable items.
