Fashion Designer Karol Cygan was born in Warsaw, Poland. He has graduated from Middlesex University in London in 2017 specialising in Fashion Design. Whilst studying Cygan has discovered a new passion for intricately handcrafted and embellished garments. His designs represent confident and flamboyant women with a story behind them to share.

Inspirations are mostly taken from nature and global issues with a futuristic twist.

 

Karol has gained experience throughout many intensive internships. During the last four seasons at couture label Ethologie by Jasper Garvida he took upon the role of head designer for the season of SS18. Karol also previously interned for Julien Macdonald’s expanding his knowledge about business and fashion.

 

Karol Cygan designs have been worn by celebrities and artists such as Francesca Monte, VirginX, Kara Marni, James Indigo, Gia Ford, Andrea Di Giovanni, Amaarae and Malikoa. 

Cygan has been featured in fashion magazines such as Vogue Runway, VOGUE ITALIA, Feroce Magazine, French Fries Magazine, ArtPLAY Magazine, Kaltblut Magazine, PAP Magazine, Modic Magazine, International Excellence Magazine, Peaches Magazine, Picton Magazine, F Word Magazine, Humble Magazine, HUFMagazine, L’Officiel Lithuania, Hunger Magazine, Sicky Magazine, Desnudo Italia, Dreamingless Magazine,  Polyestrzine, Period Magazine, FGUK Magazine, Love Magazine, ELLE Bulgaria and more. 

 

Cygan attempts to create a more accessible “couture” that can be appreciated by the public. Developing new textures, mixing media, unconventional, and up cycled materials, he brings a different dimension to the market.
