Alvaro Mars

Since he could grab a pencil, the Spanish designer Alvaro began sketching women dressed in different outfits. His drawings evolved into what he called his "yellow muse" and he began to create entire collections. He always wanted to dedicate himself to design, even before knowing that it was a profession.  Originally from Alicante (Spain), Alvaro Mártinez has studied the BA Hons Fashion Design degree at the University of Westminster validated by the IED of Barcelona and has worked for the Danish designer Anne Sofie Madsen and the designer Palomo Spain. After graduating, he has shown at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Moscow 2019 after being awarded by Global Talents; in Spain, he has shown at the CLEC Festival in Valencia. Currently, his latest collection Teatro Paradiso is exhibited at the Blend Showroom (Barcelona) and has given away garments for various publications, including Herdes (in the Chicago and Tunis issues); Wallpaper Magazine (London) in which he entered the Fashion Directory; Vein, Metal and Fucking Young (Barcelona) or Teen Vogue among others. Apart from this, he has echoed in the global fashion scene. With articles in journals such as Love Magazine and Forbes, it has made its brand known globally. As an example of its repercussion The Telegraph, published on October 17, 2019, in its photo section of the day, one of its runway looks. At the age of 21, he founded his own brand, which he runs as Creative Director. This signature with the name of Alvaro Mars can be considered a promise of the new generation of Spanish designers. The passion he developed for this craft has led him to a hyperbolic style. Known for his crazy volumes and his dramatic use of colours, Alvaro always blurs the lines between gender roles, breaking established cannons to show the world how he sees beauty.
