Affiyette jewellery is founded by Julia Neill, a designer who arrived at jewellery from an extensive background in fashion. Julia was born and grew up in London, and was surrounded by creativity from an early age from art and music to objets d’art. She always had an affinity with things that evoke emotion which developed into a love of design across disciplines. Julia trained at the Royal College of Art, first in fashion and now within jewellery.

“I chose to train in jewellery because I wanted to pursue a different field, which had a completely different agenda and new set of codes to explore. I wanted to create jewellery that people feel invested in. Wearable pieces of art that speak to the wearer and the viewer as they embrace who they are and what they want to show the world. I hope my pieces link people so they can embrace each other’s sensibilities and create a feeling of belonging.”

The name Affiyette is inspired by the French word affiner meaning- to refine - evoking a feeling of self-expression by curating a collection of jewellery that is refined, sleek and evolves with you. It creates a subtle warmth, reminiscent of a moment of joy, as we embrace individualism together. The collections are grounded by a deeply human approach, where pieces have integrity and grace. Affiyette creates jewellery with a distinctive identity, where form, line, and function are balanced with beauty.

Affiyette is launching its debut collection the Goldsmiths award winning  Clip series in a showcase at London Fashion Week and Fashion Britain.The Clip series reinterprets the paperclip through the fine material of gold and silver with highlights of diamonds.  The symbolic nature of the paperclip as a curator of ideas and beliefs is reimagined as a wearable objet d’art that can be layered and worn in a multitude of ways as a ring, ear cuff and pendant.
