A sartorial travelogue exploring the world through millinery, the collection imagines life’s adventures: sipping champagne at ‘Claridge’s Fumoir’ in levitating satin ribbon, dressing for ‘Winter Ascot’ in a top hat draped with panné velvet and tied with a bow, or taking a ‘Skinny dip in Stockholm’ wearing nothing but a beaded, mermaid swim cap. There are hats made for packing—trilbies squashed into embroidered Stephen Jones Millinery bags, jewel-trimmed berets completely flattened, and daytime satin beanies reversing for a soirée in velvet topped with sequin feathers.
