Two family houses, one Madrid workshop. This September, Santamaria Shirtmakers of Kensington and Monte Lys of St James's collaborate for the first time — a bespoke shirtmaker and a bespoke tailoring house run by Ana and Juan Carlos, daughter and son of master tailor Ramon Benito Santamaria, cutting in Madrid since 1968. The brief was simple: the finest shirt our craftsmen can make. A capsule collection in Thomas Mason Sea Island cotton and Loro Piana cloth, with collars, cuffs and armholes set by hand, tails, buttonholes and monograms hand-sewn, and mother-of-pearl buttons throughout.
