National Museum of Scotland X Edinburgh College of Art

This event features Georgina Ripley, Principal Curator, Modern and Contemporary Design at the National Museum of Scotland, in conversation with Professor Mal James, Personal Chair of Fashion, Edinburgh College of Art, as she discusses the inception and evolution of the influential Fashion & Style Gallery. It will focus on the gallery's ongoing commitment to diverse and inclusive displays and will include discussion on its educational influence to Edinburgh College of Art's Fashion Programme. The talk will also discuss the museums approach to featuring and celebrating Scotland's fashion designers on an international stage, as well as highlighting NMS's forthcoming fashion exhibition in 2028.
