Step into Material World at Kew’s iconic Temperate House – a vibrant festival where art, fashion and plants come together.

 

This exhibition reveals how nature shapes the fabrics we wear and inspires ideas for a more sustainable future. Discover striking works, from Nnenna Okore’s monumental art to Lottie Delamain’s living garden, bold designs from London College of Fashion, Michael McMillan’s journey into cotton’s history, and the League of Artisans’ celebration of craft. From 11am–3pm on weekends in September and October, join artists for hands-on activities with plant-based materials.

 

There are also six exclusive After Hours events on the 3rd, 4th, 10th, 11th, 17th and 18th October featuring DJs, live performances, food, drink and more. Book now!
