Lorenza Bas is a Chilean designer based in Madrid, specializing in auteur fashion and committed to conscious design. Her work explores the dialogue between art and clothing, transforming garments into manifestations of design-driven activism. Through conceptual development and the use of textiles as expressive language, her aim is to reframe the meaning of luxury from a critical and artistic perspective.
One of the projects that best captures the essence of her brand is Jamais Vu (SS24), where she questioned the familiarity of fashion and reinterpreted it as a unique artistic experience. Inspired by the psychological concept of perceiving the familiar as new, Jamais Vu presents collections as art exhibitions, with sensory interventions and collaborations with artists from various disciplines. The garments are exhibited as living artworks, inviting viewers to rediscover fashion through a fresh and transformative lens.
Her most recent collection, Cuerpos Celestes x Arturo Fermandois (AW25), continues this multidisciplinary approach by merging digital art and fashion in a limited-edition haute couture series. Through sublimation printing, Fermandois’s circular forms and geometric patterns are translated into garments, exploring the interaction of complex geometry with the human body. Designed in a palette of black, white, and blue, the collection emphasizes detail and simplicity while delving into concepts such as layering, geometric repetition, and transparency—offering a visual narrative that transcends fabric and takes form through the body and its movement.
