Tata Naka
Tata-Naka is designed by identical twins, Tamara and Natasha Surguladze, born in Tbilisi, Georgia, 1978. Tata and Naka respectively, were childhood nicknames but many friends were unable to tell them apart and they became collectively referred to as Tata-Naka.
They arrived in London in 1996 to study design at Central St Martins. On graduating in the year 2000 Barneys NYC dedicated a whole wall to their awe-inspiring collection. The British Fashion Council is globally renowned for being the launch platform for emerging talent, Tata-Naka are an example of such talent that has seen the brand blossom into one of the UK’s most covetable independent luxury design houses with 2020 seeing them celebrate their 20th anniversary in the industry with worldwide stockists.
Having consecutively won the celebrated “New Generation” award at London fashion week, Tata-Naka collections are regularly being shot in main fashion aspirational publications from Vogue to i-D and with profiles in numerous leading UK broadsheet supplements.
