O Pioneers is a British clothing label set up by Londoner’s Clara Francis and Tania Hindmarch in 2019. Unable to find our dream dresses, we set about designing and making our own - with a modern take on the elegant, sometimes eccentric, classic English Victoriana and Edwardian style.

Every dress has been created from the finest Liberty print cottons to make playful, feminine yet always practical garments. All of our dresses have large pockets and are designed to be worn every single day, NOT to be saved for best! We are hugely conscious of keeping our carbon footprint to an absolute minimum, so all production is based here in the UK, specifically London, where we are based.

All the excess fabrics from our dress making process are used for patchworking purposes, making jackets and dresses alike, employing a team of highly skilled patch-workers scattered around the UK. All our knitwear is handknitted by a wonderful team of home knitters also spread across the UK.

Our dresses have featured in many publications including Vogue, Grazia, Harper’s Bazaar, The Times and The Telegraph, and worn by the likes of Sophie Ellis Bextor, Anna Maxwell Martin, Martha Ward, Jessie Cave, Aisling Bea, Suranne Jones, Gizzie Erskine and Rebecca Lenkiewicz.

In 2022 we successfully released two exclusive collections for Net-a-Porter, which we are extremely proud of and look forward to our collaborations in the future.
