Nayeh is a sustainable women's outerwear brand based in Seoul. After graduating from the Parsons School of Design and working in the fashion industry for over a decade across five different countries, Nayeh Han launched her eponymous brand in 2020.
Built upon a platform of sustainability, the brand uses exhaustively sourced eco-friendly materials to create functional and feminine garments based on classical influences, reinterpreting them for life in the 21st century. Life, as we know it today, is a constant journey between moments of peace and ever-harsher environments. Sustainable materials, functional design, and modern sophistication allow the wearer to voyage across worlds without leaving footsteps.
Materials range from Italian recycled synthetics with significantly lower environmental impact than conventional natural fibers, to recycled and sustainably harvested organics that are certified to the most rigorous environmental and human safety standards. But at Nayeh, sustainability is not only measured by environmental impact, but also by the impact on the health of the wearer, with materials that are hypoallergenic and free of hazardous compounds.
Modularity is seen as an expression of versatility without betraying sophistication, as well as a means of longevity as the ultimate definition of sustainability. This is foundational to Nayeh in both philosophy and construction.
Nayeh reconciles the idea that refinement is not anathema to eco-friendly. Designs that were born from responsibly sourced materials with low environmental impact, can emerge as pieces that are at once utilitarian, understated, and timelessly feminine.
