LONDON FASHION WEEK FEBRUARY 2025
This February, Banshee will present its third collection at London Fashion Week, once again pushing boundaries and combining the worlds of traditional tailoring and contemporary fashion. The new collection, which draws inspiration from heritage textiles on Savile Row, as well as the wool and materials from Donegal, Ruby’s family’s homeland, will feature a collaboration with artist Eleanor Ekserdjian. Through this collaboration with Ekserdjian, Slevin seeks to reimagine Savile Row tailoring for women, combining traditional craftsmanship & fabrics with contemporary art to offer a softer, more feminine perspective while balancing bold masculinity.
Presentation Overview
The exhibition presents Ekserdjian’s series of small oil paintings and large gestural ink drawings, created during her residency with Hauser & Wirth in Braemar, Scotland, in September 2024. Inspired by the surrounding landscape and the raw tweeds and linens used by Slevin—materials that echo the colours and compositions of nature—these works offer a striking visual response to the environment around Ekserdjian.

The fashion show art exhibition brings together contemporary landscape paintings with the sculptural elements of wearable artwork, performance and music.

Irish tailor and designer, Ruby Slevin, founded Banshee in 2019, the name inspired by powerful female symbolism and Irish mysticism.
With the use of velvets, cashmere, tweeds, soft wool, corduroys, silks, seersuckers and linens, each piece is carefully stitched by hand to create clothing alchemy.
