TRASHMag, a publication both edited and art directed by Chekii Harling highlights that there are alternatives to both fast fashion and throwaway luxury by championing designers and artists who use recycled and/or natural materials. TRASHMag utilises a light-hearted, humorous tone of voice. An approach previously absent from fashion journalism in this space. The physical product, which is 100% biodegradable, is printed on recycled paper using vegetable-based inks, and is finished off with a cellulose (rather than plastic) gloss for the cover. Granny's attic is the new black!
At this season's LFW, Chekii Harling has hand-picked a selection of innovative designers, jewelers and milliners who have protecting the planet at the core of their brand. Featuring Adam Jones, Alisa Ruzavina, Cecily Ophelia, Congregation Design, Coup Footwear, HER.O, Hurtence, Leo Carlton, Lylies London, Nataile Zipfl and Sophie Hird.
