An ethical and sustainable new label combining a Southeast Asian aesthetic with a Scandinavian approach to design, Azura Lovisa explores points of convergence between postcolonial cultures and the West, creating a wardrobe for hybrid identities born out of intercultural exchange, displacement, and globalization. The designs are deeply influenced by archives, folklore and mythology, and historical counter-narratives. Keeping collections small, seasonless, slow, and rooted in storytelling, Azura Lovisa crafts a mythology which people can inhabit.
Azura Lovisa is guided by a desire to create forms and use materials in harmony with nature, nurturing a space within fashion which recognizes its potential in aligning our human bodies with materiality, sensuality, and spirituality.
Azura Lovisa is a Swedish–Malaysian creator based between London and Miami. She graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2016 with a BA in Womenswear, and earned experience at Balenciaga and Peter Pilotto before launching her own label.
