Josephine Jones Boutique is an eponymous womenswear brand founded by artist and model Josephine Jones, creating custom garments with an unapologetic embrace of femininity in prints, bias cuts and silhouettes.
Josephine Jones Boutique operates very much from two perspectives, blurring the line between art and fashion. Playing with perceptions of glamour in the creation of one-of-a-kind garments.
In August 2018 Josephine Jones Boutique found its new home in Bermondsey functioning as both design studio and a designer vintage archive. Operating on an appointment only basis.
Having graduated from her Fine Art BA at Goldsmiths in 2018, Josephine presented her first capsule collection in the degree show, with an installation and an accompanying film. Every garment, and the approach to a collection, is informed by an ongoing navigation of Josephine's subject position, as a transgender woman, orphan, model, artist and designer.
Intrinsically valued collaborations have blossomed into creative and ongoing partnerships. Working with Nick Knight at SHOWstudio for their 'QUEER' project, Josephine performed and created an installation with her graduate collections and film. Josephine has been shot by Tim Walker in her own designs for i-D, as well as being featured in Tatler as the young designer to watch.
