Jasper Conran, OBE, is a British designer. Having trained at Parson's School of Design in New York, he produced his first womenswear collection in 1978 and was a founding member of the London Designer Collections.
Jasper Conran has diversified from womenswear into menswear, fragrance, accessories, luggage, collections for the home, interiors and the performing arts. He was appointed OBE for his Services to Retail.
Collaborations throughout his career include designing ceramic and glass for Wedgwood and Waterford, interior furnishings for Designers Guild, and a diffusion line, J by Jasper Conran, for the leading UK department store group Debenhams.
Jasper Conran's debut book Country, is a photographic and written portrait of a year in the English countryside.
He has designed costumes and sets for a total of 13 plays, ballets and operas; winning a Laurence Olivier Award for Jean Anouilh's ‘The Rehearsal'. He is currently designing the costumes for the Royal Opera House's 2019 production of ‘Within the Golden Hour'.
