CATWALK & PRESENTATION - APPLICATION CRITERIA 

  • Applicants should be over one year in business
  • Collections should consist of women’s ready-to-wear or accessories, not bridalwear or childrenswear
  • Applicants should have a minimum of six stockists, including UK and international (not including own store/e-commerce).
  • If the applicant has been in business for less than three years, they should look at applying for annual NEWGEN support. Information on NEWGEN can be found at www.britishfashioncouncil.com/NEWGEN
  • Applications for September 2020 are now open and will close on Friday 24th April click here to apply.

PHASE ONE - APPLICATION PROCESS 

  • Applicants are asked to provide two industry-based references; we suggest that a buyer or member of the press is a relevant referee

    PHASE TWO - E-PANEL

  • Once an applicant has completed the online form, it will be reviewed and the candidate will be notified by email as to whether the application has been accepted or not
  • Successful applicants will then progress to phase two of the application where they will be reviewed by an e-panel of key industry members. Please do not submit samples unless specifically requested to do so
  • Applicants may be asked to submit additional supporting information, which will be considered alongside the application to reach a final decision

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • An e-panel of judges is selected each season which includes key opinion formers, media, buyers and representatives from the BFC
  • The panel acts in an advisory capacity only. There may be certain cases where the BFC feels a particular applicant may or may not be suitable for London Fashion Week, and the BFC reserves final say

DISCOVERYLAB - APPLICATION CRITERIA

The London Fashion Week DiscoveryLAB is an immersive showcasing environment for our audience to discover and connect with new emerging brands and collaborations within the creative industries, combining the intersections of fashion, music, art, photography and performance.

  • Applicants should be under three years in business
  • Collections should consist of ready-to-wear or accessories, not bridalwear or childrenswear
  • Applicants should have a minimum of one stockist, including UK and international (not including own store/e-commerce).
  • Applications are reviewed by the BFC who reserves final say, should there be a vacant slot following review of the applicants, the BFC may then offer slots to Designers outside of the above criteria.
  • If the applicant has been in business for less than three years and has a minimum of two stockists, they should look at applying for annual NEWGEN support. Information on NEWGEN can be found at www.britishfashioncouncil.com/NEWGEN
  • If the applicant has more than six stockists, they should look at applying for a catwalk or presentation.
