The British Fashion Council's 1st 'estethica Press Day' took place on Thursday, 23rd April 2009, in The Atrium, The May Fair, Stratton Street, W1. It showcased 23 ethical labels whose collections will be edited by Yasmin Sewell, who among other projects is Chief Creative Consultant of Liberty.

The Opening of Hats: An Anthology by Stephen Jones and British Fashion Council celebrating 25 years, took place at the Victoria & Albert Museum on Monday 23rd February.

Rock Vault launched on Saturday 15th September at London Fashion Week, celebrating the SS13 collections and unveiling the 'Rock Vault Dozen' from London's most innovative fine jewellery talent. BFC Rock Vault is sponsored by the International Palladium Board and curated by Stephen Webster.

The NEWGEN winners for spring/summer 2010 announcement was made at LFW's new home Somerset House. NEWGEN, established in 1993, has become one of the world's most internationally recognised talent identification schemes.

London's spring/summer 2013 NEWGEN designers were announced at Somerset House on Monday 18th June 2012. BFC CEO Caroline Rush welcomed press and buyers with NEWGEN panel member Mel Rickey (Fashion Editor at Large) and Topshop MD Mary Homer. As part of London Collections: Women, the winning designers showcased their designs for the rest of the afternoon in the East Wing of Somerset House.

London's spring/summer 2011 NEWGEN designers were revealed at Tom's Terrace, Somerset House on Thursday June 10th 2010. Sarah Mower, BFC Ambassador for Emerging Talent, invited press to meet the winners whilst models showcased their designs.

London's spring/summer 2012 NEWGEN and NEWGEN MEN designers were announced at Tom's Terrace, Somerset House on Tuesday 7th June 2011. Sarah Mower, BFC Ambassador for Emerging Talent, invited press to meet the winners and their muses.

On Friday 14h September, the first day of London Fashion Week SS13, Matches launched their in-store celebration of London-based designers. For Fashion Week, the Matches Marylebone store has been turned into a celebration of all things British ­ only showcasing British womenswear and menswear.

Simon Ward, Harold Tillman and Sarah Brown officially announce LFW open for February 2010.
