Based in London, Barbara Casasola is fast becoming among the most sought after Brazilian ready-to-wear designers.
Born in brazil in 1984, Barbara studied fashion design at Central Saint Martins in London and later at Istituto Marangoni in Milan where she graduated Cum Laude and first in her class in 2007.
On completion of her studies, she was hired by Roberto Cavalli in Florence, where she was first assistant designer for womenswear for over two years. She subsequently moved to Paris in January 2010 to work alongside Gabriele Greiss (former Creative Director at Sonia Rykiel) on assignments for Lanvin and See by Chloe.
Barbara made her catwalk debut in September 2013 during London Fashion Week. In January 2014 she was recipient of the prestigious Guest Women’s Designer award at Pitti Uomo.
Barbara's essential design reference is the contrasting visual language of Brazil. The results are pared-back but sensual.
