SIGNATURES: “Kitsch, design-driven shapes in traditional Filipino sustainable materials.”
TRADEMARK PIECES: “My mini crowns and probably Adam Ant's bicorn hat.”
IDEAL CLIENT: "Someone eccentric enough to be completely at ease with having something on their head.”
THE COLLECTION: “Pagan deities, tribal royalty and storytelling.”
CULTURAL INFLUENCES: “Working with tribes from the Philippines, I tend to be inspired by them and their culture - their beliefs and traditions, what they wear, their art. I put a lot of emphasis on craft, I believe in the art of 'making'. I am also a huge art fan so I am highly influenced by both contemporary and classical art, not to mention children's books and historical costume!”
PLANS FOR 2013: “Spend some time in New York and work on a few collaborations!”
