Martina Spetlova

Inspired by microscopic view, the new spring/summer collection film starts small, focusing on the details in a way not usually applied to a fashion film. On a miniature level we see the strands and weaves become a new large landscape  with the camera floating across. As the camera moves over this land the pleats emerge rich in colour, epic in scale, like mountain ranges. The background is black so the textures and colours stand out, the model appears, a stark white silhouette against the black background.  Tiny, she starts to walk through the pleats. We clone the model so she wears the various looks on screen at the same time, climbing upon the landscape (green screen). Laser cut, then pleated fabrics and patchworked woven leather pieces in beautiful and fresh colour combinations typical for my work, they become a garden of changing patterns as the camera follow our model on a journey over this epic landscape. The video will be a playful look at the patterns and textures in the collection so important in my work.
