E. Tautz (Women's)

DESIGNER NAME: Patrick Grant
BACKGROUND: Patrick was born in Edinburgh and studied at Leeds and Oxford. He has been running Norton & Sons, a bespoke tailoring house on Savile Row, since 2005.
SIGNATURES: “Simple cut shirts in a range of classic English men's shirting fabrics.”
TRADEMARK PIECE: “Crisp white poplin shirt with contrast collar and cuffs.”
IDEAL CLIENT: “Any girl who's woken up in the morning and headed out wearing one of her boyfriend's shirts.”
THE COLLECTION: “We started the collection last season by cutting boyish versions of our men's shirts, which we have continued into this season.”
CULTURAL ELEMENTS: “London has everything you could wish for culturally, but it is the art scene which manages to continually inspire me. You can be looking at the classical mastery of Holbein or Turner one day and the intellectual engagement of Tracey Emin or Jeremy Deller the next. The diversity of art available to the public in London is staggering. Obviously it would be impossible for us not to tap into that.”
PLANS FOR 2013: “We're looking at adding a few more pieces for AW14. Possibly women's coats and trousers.”
